Weddings in North Carolina

My daughter is approaching the wedding dress challenge from all directions. She is checking out thrift stores (remember, I just saw TEN wedding dresses in the Goodwill near here!)…

She’s talking with a local seamstress… and she’s trying her hand at sewing, too. I sent her a halter-top pattern I’ve been saving for thirty years and she sewed a prototype she likes quite a bit.

Then yesterday I got this email from her:

Oops, I just bought a dress on ebay. It just happened – perhaps we might say, se me compro el vestido? (“The dress bought itself to me.”) … I am going to be a 12-dress bride if I am not careful.

Cost of this find, “MES AMI Stunning White Beaded Lace Gown” ? $24.99.
