This is the last of the tunes I recorded on solo viola for my daughter – she is hiring a solo cellist for her wedding ceremony and I wanted her to hear the tunes close to what they might sound like with just one instrument. I prefer playing ceremonies with at least one other person, but with economic times the way they are, many brides are looking to have live music but can only afford a soloist.

Learned from clarinetist Merlin Shepherd at Klezkamp.

Come back little bird, on the shoulder of the wind…
The lemon scent lights up the apple
Who will bring a bride to my garden?
I’ll build you a nest of linen on a tree top

Come, please come, gazelle of delight
And in our glass is red wine.

Who will bring you the tidings of spring?
Who will bring a bride on wings?
Who will bring you to my garden?

Come back, for the winter is over,
